HAMMERは、人を引っぱるために前へ出る男ではない。
場所をつくり、鍵を渡し、「次はいつやる？」と笑う。
その一拍が鳴れば、止まっていた誰かも、いつの間にか動き出している。
彼にとって始まりとは、号令ではなく招待だ。
If no one will make a sound, he places the first beat himself.
HAMMER does not step forward in order to pull people along.
He makes a place, hands over the key, and grins: ‘When are we doing this again?’
Once that beat sounds, someone who had stopped is moving again before they know it.
For him, a beginning is not an order. It is an invitation.
MARSHIVERNとの接点WITH MARSHIVERN
久しぶりに会ったRAVENへ、HAMMERは過去の話をほとんどしなかった。ただ、もう一度一緒に鳴らせる場所を用意した。そこへ少しずつ人が集まり、音が重なった。MARSHIVERNは、誰かが計画して完成させたものではない。最初の一拍から、始まった。
When he met RAVEN again after a long time, HAMMER hardly spoke about the past. He simply prepared a place where they could make sound together once more. People gathered there little by little, and the sounds began to overlap. MARSHIVERN was not something someone planned and completed. It began with the first beat.
演奏と舞台での役割ON STAGE
- 曲の始まりを告げるのではなく、全員が踏み出せる拍を置く。Rather than announcing a song's beginning, he lays down a beat everyone can step into.
- 重いキックで疾走を支え、ブレイクでは一瞬だけ世界を止める。With a heavy kick, he supports the rush; at a break, he stops the world for an instant.
- ブラスが加わる夜は、その一斉の入りを誰より楽しみに待っている。On nights when brass joins in, no one waits more eagerly for that simultaneous entrance.
仲間との関係CONNECTIONS
- RAVEN
- 「IRON WING」から続く古い仲間。言葉で引き戻したのではない。もう一度鳴らせる場所をつくった。An old companion from IRON WING. He did not pull RAVEN back with words; he made a place where they could make sound again.
- FORGE
- 最も深いところで拍を共有する相棒。HAMMERが前へ押し、FORGEが足元を離さない。The partner who shares the beat at the deepest level. HAMMER pushes forward, and FORGE keeps the ground from slipping away.
- SIGNAL
- 機械の中にある合図を、人間が踏み出せるタイミングへ変える相手。HAMMERは細かい理屈を全部理解していない。それでも、鳴らす瞬間だけは迷わない。The one who turns cues inside machines into timing people can step into. HAMMER does not understand every fine point of the theory. Still, he never hesitates at the moment to sound it.
